Don't believe the ism numbers, I just left a friends mfg.
business and he is on the verge of bankrupcy, his business has
fallen 60% and I have a small business related to the housing
constrution and my business is off over 80% and nothing in
site.
I am just waiting for P2 to end and/or confirm or show itself as
ended. I dont believe any of the numbers or make believe fairy
tales the gov't tries to tell about the economy. I can see for
myself in the businesses around Indy that dire times are ahead. The
manufacturing businesses here are closing up for good. Internatinal
closed its engine business side. Their foundry continues to run but
for how long? GM stamping plant will be closed in 2010. Diamond
chain company has threatened its employees with leaving if they
dont agree to a pay cut with the United steel workers union. The
classified ads for jobs has gone from 12-16 pages on sunday to 1-2
pages on sunday. Recovery? Where? ISM above 50 now they say. What
parts of the country support that number?
