Question for the Blog:

Posted by Jim on 9th of Jul 2009 at 07:23 pm

Hoping I can get an answer here on the blog, don't want to give Matt more work than he already has.

I'm a real rookie here, and am in awe of you guys! Sheesh! even I am making $$$ here! I don't have a Stockcharts membership. I have made enough $$ to buy one now. Can someone tell me which level I need in order to view Matt's charts in real time? There are a few you can choose from. I don't know how it all works, but will figure that out over time.

As I understand it, you can see all Matt and Steve's carts they post on the Blog, and in the nightly updates, and watch those trendlines etc. as they happen throughout the day.....correct? Anyway, can someone tell me which membership to get?

          Thanks,

          Jim :-)

    Jim, if you are going

Jim, if you are going to be trading off short term charts then make the investment for real time (the Extra RT charting package). After all, how useful can a 20 min delayed quote be for a 5min chart?

    The basic is all you

The basic is all you need to view matt's charts on the blog.

    gustop -- I don't think

gustop -- I don't think that's true.  With basic you can't see real-time charts -- so you can look at the .png pictures of charts matt posts -- for which you need no membership -- but you can't see the real-time charts, save them if you want, etc.       Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

    I can view the charts

I can view the charts in the sticky at real time They are not streaming. You have to use the update button to stay get the real time. I would just try the basic then upgrade if your not happy.

Basic gives you RT indexes ($SPX, $HUI), etc) but delayed stock quotes.  Yes I can see all the sticky charts with basic but you can't save them or draw trend lines, etc.

I will probably move to next level as I gain more knowledge here.
