Matt I really like the new services. Will you be posting dynamic links to the new trading systems?

WOuld you consider offering an alternative programming services for Canadians as we can not access TS. How about Ninja Traders?

    Hi

After listening to the newsletter, I agree with your concern or problem since I also live in Canada. There are several Canadian traders at this website.

I would love to sign up for Tradestation but they don't take Canadians. One would have to us Interactive Broker and Ninjatrader to do automated trading. Matt and Steve, any suggestions for IB and Ninjatrader?

I believe you can purchase the platform without an account. It's a bit pricey, but if you end up making a lot more oney - then why not.

    Does anyone know the price

Does anyone know the price for a TS non-brokerage account? (I know some Canadians who could benefit from this). I haven't been able to find this on the Tradestation site, and I think many here would benefit from hearing this answer, in case anyone knows it off hand. I've heard it's a few hundred bucks a month, but I'm not sure.

    Hi

I emailed Tradestation and was told the cost would be $250.00 USper month for plateform use.

Basically, Canadians can use the platform but can't execute tradeswith them unless your trading futures. (Don't ask why......)

Most of the systems are quite basic and executeable by Ninja/Interactive Brokerscombination. (In addition there are many Ninja programmers to help with automation).

However, if Matt's future premium content systems become more complicated it may be more feasible for us Canadians to purchase a Multichartplatform outright rather than pay TS a monthly fee. (Looked on site and MC is compatible with TS EASY LANGUAGE.)

lpwise - the problem is that

Posted by matt on 10th of Jun 2009 at 10:45 am

lpwise - the problem is that we are going to be releasing indicators and MA's with parameters that are not available on ninja trader.  As an example in the future we will have systems that use say MA's type 5 and 7 with lag settings of -3.5 and 0.75 and gapless, you won't be able to duplicate those in ninja.

I trade a lot of systems that don't list here because they use custom indicators and settings that are not available anywhere and thus you can't duplicate them.

I've sent an email off to my broker - I'll post once I hear back. Just in case nobody has an answer off the top....
