Since you put "experts" in quotes, I take it you are skeptical
of their analysis and have a different take altogether. I
managed a major law firm for more than 35 years before retiring 3
years ago. Every lawyer I know (there are many - highly
educated and well versed in the law) agrees with the main stream
media analysis...as did all 12 jurors...rather quickly.
Would love to know what you believe was strange about the trial.

legal expert with a published reaction to the trial I've read
so far have stated a litany of various reversible errors
committed,; criticisms of the conduct of the trial, the motivations
behind it, the bias of the main players including judge Merchan;
questionable if not unethical trial tactics; due
process deprivations, among other criticisms.
Of course, you won't find that critical commentary in NY
Times or Wa Post, so refer you to postings from conservative legal
experts like Andrew McCarthy, Bret Tolman, John Yoo, Trey Gowdy.
And non-conservative legal experts like Jonathan Turley, Alan
Dershowitz. Perhaps surprisingly, one of the most scathing
commentaries on this lawsuit comes today from Elie Honig, former
Manhattan DA worked with Bragg and now CNN legal contributor.
Invite you to read his op-ed today in New York Magazine, if
you are sincerely interested in learning more about what was
strange.
B/t/w, I work in a mid-size law firm in Kansas. May
reflect "flyover country", Midwestern conservatism and sense of
fair play, but lawyers here that have spoken out mostly negative on
the case. Just a difference of degree. FWIW

Not a legal conversation website, but if you tune to other news
stations they have legal "experts" that say it was the craziest
trial they have ever seen (for reasons I won't detail - tune in, if
interested...wall to wall coverage right now). Stark contrast
between the "experts" on this one based on their biases....so the
quotes around "expert" are somewhat appropriate, IMO.
