Haha. Everyone wants it - even Mnuchin says he has formed a group to fund the acquisition.  But I seriously doubt China will sell it with the magic algo intact.  I'd give that about a 5% probability (because 0% is never appropriate).

Also, they had to pass it in order to finally get their war funding approved. They're already walking back the TikTok part.  My guess is that it will die on the vine before enforcement (currently set at 9 months with an option to extend to 12).  They just wanted to spend. The TikTok part was just an unfortunate hanger on they had to get through in order to dole out the cheese.
