The whisper consensus for today was a politically motivated
dovish punt. I heard it predicted on all the networks and X over
the last couple of days. Not too surprising that it played
out.
More accurately, most were saying that the Fed would push
harder towards the idea of cuts sooner rather than later to avoid
the appearance of being political...which makes it a political act.
I don't follow the logic but that's been the narrative.
