regarding tracking (I think it's part of their settlements with the
European Union and is being implemented everywhere, NOT just the
BPT website, all websites will be required to give folks an option
to opt out of tracking cookies
People have questions about our GDPR
popup that started appearing today. Google has changed policies
around adsense requiring any website that uses tracking to allow
opt out of tracking cookies. As a result we've had to implement a
cookie popup, you should only need to interact with this popup once
per year as your settings will be saved on each device you access
the website from.
Apologies for any confusion but we
didn't really have a choice other than to implement this feature.
Also, regarding the Silver and Gold
options, like it says in the description, silver only allows data
sharing for security purposes while platinum allows data sharing
for targeted advertisements. Google adsense respects these levels,
it also interacts with browsers "do not track" feature if you have
that enabled.
I guess, I mean is it really that distracting? I have big
monitors so it's way way way off to the left away from any content.
I'll ask James, it could be made smaller or shown in some other
way. However Google requires that it be obvious and not hidden

Hi Matt and James - I regularily use an iPhone to listen to the
nightly newsletter,. The Google "Fingerprint " covers the
"play" control on the your 'Origional Player'. This makes the
origional player play button unable to play the newsletter.
Can something be changed so I can use the origional player on
my phone? Thanks!
I'm using my iPad quite a bit sometimes and it's probably bigger
than it should ... but i'm probably the exception here ... ;)
can this be moved on the upper banner? same size just above
right on the account for example? that way it's never in the way of
something I have to click on ? or same size and beside the
twitter/facebook round logo? no big deal if you can't
... just wondering ...

when I listened on my ipad to the newsletter earlier today , the green sticker is right on the start / pause button - of the audio player
difficult to use that audio player button without clicking on the green sticker
