This list of 8 week periods where the market gained 16% or more,
posted by another member earlier today, could be labeled "Major
Short Squeezes over time". As far as I can tell, each occurrence
came on the heels of a negative economic event, most of which
(maybe all) were met by a printing press in turbo mode.

VIX running towards the lows. People buying calls (and/or
selling them) in a push to get Santa off his ass and the market
through the all time highs. I'm guessing we'll print another
high 50's low 60 percent call day today.
