Setups - I haven't had great luck with them over the
years, but I probably just have bad luck with the ones I pick and
then got turned off and focused on the general market where I know
I can make money consistently.
What I would love is a minor tweak to the setup section that
gives one or two picks with your screening magic but with some
additional filters added on:
- Above $5 per share
- Liquid
- Optionable
- Measurable PE ratio. Positive and less than 2X
projected growth rate.
Essentially a "quality"pick in the setups section. The screen
likely wouldn't always generate results, but it would be nice to
have them posted when it does. Of course, I can't exactly do
this myself because I'm missing the baseline screening magic that
you and Steve bring to the table.
*Some of us have to be ready, willing and able to explain our
thought process on trades at any given moment. Sticking with
perceived quality is something of a shield.
regarding setups. I do not trade them for similar reasons as
stated. In addition, I would like a setup to be confirmed by a
momentum indicator similar to SPY systems, as I cannot watch them
during the day. A squeeze indicator should be of help here,
yet I am not an expert on its use yet.
To be actionable, setups ought to be vetted by internals in
addition to looking right. If one can watch them during the day,
this is not necessary, of course. Most of people posting here
cannot afford that luxury, in my humble opinion. This is not a
criticism of the idea or the way others do it.
