These fabricated gaps to the

These fabricated gaps to the downside are how market makers are reducing, or trying to reduce, the net in-the-money call premium on several key stocks and market leaders. But there remain many willing buyers, gobbling up discounted shares. Perhaps we'll still see some selling over the next few days, but the resiliency of the bulls at a time when we clearly could be seeing a lot of selling just adds to the bullish bias in the market - all in my opinion, of course.

If today's gap lower is starting a leg down for the market, keep an eye on the 20-hour EMA on the QQQ:  Up date by Tom Bowley about OPEX and the 1.4 billion in open calls SPX and QQQ that are evaporating  on weakness

I usually don’t cry foul but something stinks and I probably should stick to not trading during opex week.

But then again maybe my bias is wrong…

jones689, big moves are timed for special events, such as OpEx. Just have wide stops and good risk to reward on your side. Heavy use of EW coupled with supply & demand zones seems to do the trick.

You may be able to take advantage of the weakness you often see during this week. Or al least look for good buys during this time.

rbreese, what is a likely level for the OpEx for either SPY or QQQ? Max pain indicator could be in works, I have not checked.

These gaps also prevent position trading amidst lowered liquidity (wide bid and ask gaps between two sides).

    That is what Tom works

That is what Tom works on every OPEX and has a one-hour report . He is a former CPA and loves this MAX pain period.  And of course weakness helps specialists to save money to.
