I honestly don't know. We're talking about a country that
kept their population essentially locked up and fearful of COVID
for 3 years while telling outsiders that they had zero COVID deaths
for many months on end (that's impossible given Chinese
demographics and the nature of viruses). They simply haven't
given us a lot of reasons to trust their data over the years.
Chinese have a point with their recently common position that
the US Gov is hypocritical....I mean, American Gov has been caught
lying to the American on a regular basis these days and the
propaganda machine has been on full blast...but at least the US has
a system that places a firewall between outgoing publicly traded
company data reports and the Federal Gov.
So unfortunate with these China
