Mugsy - I'm waiting for a trigger to  scalp some premium selling ODTE calls.  Higher probability trade.

    I prefer to do it

I prefer to do it your way as well.  Steve seems to buy 0DTE

    You definitely get more pop

You definitely get more pop with long premium trades (buying puts or calls) but I'm not smart enough to get both the direction and timing right on a regular basis. I like that I can be wrong on both direction and timing and still win with short premium trades (that's why they are MUCH higher probability trades).

    SPX bear call spread -

Posted by DigiNomad on 3rd of Mar 2023 at 12:10 pm

SPX bear call spread - I just pulled the trigger and sold a handful of 4045 / 4060 0DTE calls.

Posting my trade - so now I'll probably get challenged....which is fine. I'm in small with room to defend (roll).

SPX bear call spread -   I almost

SPX bear call spread -   I almost rolled this near the HOD, but didn't get touched (yet). I have the roll teed up (Monday expiry, 4075/4100). I widened out the spread a bit to achieve a credit on the roll at the level I felt comfortable selling.

SPX poked right through the 38.2 fib (4031) and now it seems to be supporting. Tempting to go out to Tuesday expiry and sell the 4100 strike for $500 (61.8 fib is 4093).

SPX Bear Call Spread - 4045 got touched so I rolled to next Tuesday expiry, 4110 short strike (~16 delta when I rolled).
