as far as the open ES short- it is still looking to close
out - THAT SAID while those conditions may hold true until the SPY
cash close, this is ES and the ES bar doesn't close until 5 EST,
which will be AFTER NVDA reports - which is likely to generate a
further move down in the market or sharp bounce that would cause
the ES trade not to close out
there's no way around that, ES closed 1hr after the cash market
close
that said your choice is to just follow the system, or...you
could split the difference by closing out 1/2 here near the cash
close just in case the market spikes higher after earnings, you
will have locked in some gains and reduced risk, and hold the other
1/2 by the system
