Matt, Would it be possible to send out your SPY and ES system
trades before the ES opens up at 6 ? I'm thinking of trading both
ES and SPY using ES Micro's. Thanks Don
for ES it closes at 5 and opens at 6. Generally I like to let it
close to confirm and then do a hard refresh on the reopen to doubly
confirm it - but I'll try and post here if it's going to take the
trade.
The other reason I like to allow it to close and reopen is
because of the 'phantom trade' issue. What I mean by that is that
sometimes the ES closing price gets altered by a few points or a
past close and that has caused on numerous occasions in the past
(though rare but it happens from time to time) trades that show up
at the close - and then disappear if I do a hard refresh of the ES
data after ES reopens - when it does happen it seems to be
reflected once ES reopens up. From time to time we'll have to deal
with that stuff - there's a trade - oh sorry guys it went away.
This can apparently be solved by converting the daily charts into
1440 minute charts - there are 1440 minutes in a day. However that
said, in doing so it lowers the stats on the systems so I haven't
wanted to do that. In the future if I were to create new futures
systems I would test using 1440 from the get go. anyway some nerd
info for you there
Matt, Would it be possible
