Hi Matt - I'm trying to duplicate the McClellan Oscillator with
Bollinger Bands in Think or Swim. Can you share the specific
Study set-up? Cant seem to figure it out.
first off in Tradestation the indicators are set to plot with
respect to data 1 or price. The McClellan Osc is plotted as an
indicator and you can't have an indicator plot with respect to
another indicator. So we had to write a custom Bollinger Band
indicator that potted to data 2 or the indicator basically.
Also in Tradestation the McClellan Osc is not a separate
indicator, it's derived from two other indicators: $ADV NYSE
Advancing and $DECL, NYSE Declining, those two data sources are
combined to derive the McClellan Osc indicator

go this working in Tradestation, we already use the Stockcharts version forever. Now I can easily put this into a strategy and backetest it
