Again I think the best option honestly is to just use
conditional stop orders, that way you can use the SPX DVT price as
your stop price for SPY or VOO or whatever ETF. In your broker
using a conditional stop order you can literally put in a sell
condition where your SPY will be sold if the SPX falls below 3700.
That's why it's called a condition stop order. I know IB has
had this formany years, I'm sure other brokers have it as well

new DVT on IWM and EEM, no change for SPX and QQQ
on the weekly indexes, new DVT's on all the indexes, big jumps 110 points on SPX for example

I place these orders as Matt explains...best b/c its not seen by market as a stop until it triggers. All brokers have capability.
