looks like that open SPY trade will probably exit today at the
close, so an early FYI. Hopefully the market is higher or not down
a lot more by the close.
on a side note my sister ES system which is in the same trade
isn't closing today, but probably tomorrow instead. I don't send ES
system trades out to the site at this time, will be interesting to
see which one does better this time. The ES version did enter
the 1st entry better however on 9/30 instead of 9/24 for the SPY
version. As far as which one is better over the long run, the
ES or SPY version, it's honestly one half dozen the other, they go
back and forth, sometimes the SPY version is better, and sometimes
the ES version is better. Remember I have the same sub systems on
the ES instrument as well. For me I trade all of them, so basically
40 systems. Obviously a ton of overlap however as far as returns,
it's really more about averaging everything more, with running the
systems on both instruments you simply get a bit more
diversification potential or smoothing would be a better term
perhaps
