erikwil- LABD gapped up over the trigger. The doji
trigger was 29.25, it gapped up, opened at $29.60, so 35 cents over
the trigger point, and that was the opening second, it then went
higher, so if one bought it even a min after the open it could have
been trading at 30, which would have been 75 cents over the trigger
price. When a stock gaps way over the trigger price you have
to be careful on those, I generally don't chase a gap unless I
think the trend will continue.
anyway LABD moved up to tag the 200 MA, then pulled back.
Stops for a swing trade would be at the doji low of 27.85,
however that's if one entered at the trigger price.
again had the market trended lower down all day it would be no
big deal but this is how things go at times. it also doesn't mean
that it doesn't try to bounce again.
LABD also is very volatile, so it's one to keep position
sizes smaller on because it can really move
anyway guys - that kind of stuff can happen - just a part of
trading - but also be careful of chasing gaps - like I said this
morning the market gapped down and was not ideal for chasing things
like LABD and SPXU.
