of like just viewing it as the amount I want to risk on the trade,
I think that sort of makes people use smaller positions. For
example if you have a 100K account you might say to yourself I've
giving 2% stops based on my account but then you realize wow that's
$2000. Again it's all the same no matter which one you look
it, I just prefer thinking about the amount I'm fine risking on a
trade basis vs my whole account
that's true! The standard idea seems to be don't risk more
than 1%-2% of the account - but that's a lot of money in a decent
-sized account. Point taken.
