Stay far away from crap like XIV etc unless you FULLY
UNDERSTAND how these instruments work which I dare say very few do.
Some of you are swing trading this crap and at best they are
meant for day trades. Greed kills and those trading this
instrument without fully understanding it deserve to lose funds.
My advice stay far away from ALL these ETN's as I'm not
going to take time to explain tonight as I've stated many times to
do YOUR HOMEWORK on these PRIOR to even considering trading such
instruments. If you have to ask how they work, should you
really be trading them? Answer: NO
This pretty much sums up what I stated earlier about XIV:
Credit Suisse Plunges in After-Hours Due to
Black Swan Event Unfolding in Volatility ETNs
Shares of CS are down nearly 7% in after-hours thanks to the
rickety bs unfolding in XIV, the inverse volatility ETN — which has
been the single best performing ETN over the past 5 years. In what
is truly hard to believe, there is a ‘termination’ trigger in this
product that permits the underwriter, in this case Credit Suisse,
to liquidate the fund in order to prevent a negative equity
situation.

XIV now at 11.00 in after hours. I bought it with the SPY PRO
signals. REALLY bad timing on my part. Watched all the previous
signals and sat on my hands until the last two.
