I didn't realize that Tradestation now had these special Renko
bar charts. These are not traditional Renko, they are much
more adaptive and easier to trade than traditional Renko bars.
They used to only be available in Ninja Trader where they
have been very popular for the last few years, but I found out that
TS has them which is really cool as I can make some strategies with
them. Here's a couple chart examples, one is ES and one is Bitcoin.
Man trading Bitcoin futures is nuts, I added the futures data
feed on Friday to play with it . You can make or lose some serious
coin. I like using either these Renko charts or a range chart
for signals. Note with Bitcoin you cannot use sell stop
orders to protect a long, so when you are long you have to watch it
like a hawk and sell manually limit orders. You also cannot
short Bitcoin and margin obviously is not 20:1 like standard
futures, it's more like 1 - 3 only, which makes sense given how
volatile it is.

Matt, what settings are you using for the brick size (for ES)?
