- The main system at the moment is governed by the Trap 1 trade
since it went long first. That sub system current is showing
an exit signal today because the trending indicator it uses has
turned red. This sub system exits on the next day's open.
Therefore the SPY Pro system will go to cash tomorrow on the
open, NOT today at the close.
Additional Comments about this:
Sometimes exiting on the next day's open is hit or miss
depending how the market gaps. If you wanted to split the
difference one option would be for you to exit 1/2 your position
today at the close and the other 1/2 tomorrow morning on the open.
Or you can just wait and exit your full position tomorrow
morning on the open like the system, it's your choice.
Sub systems:the
other sub system that is long is the Trend Trade, which is actually
a newer sub system that I added a while back. technically the
SPY system now has 12 long sub systems and 11 short sub systems.
The Trend sub system will be going to cash today at the close
instead of tomorrow on the open

Matt, thanks for posting the update. Curiously was the trending
indicator green yesterday? Just curiously why would it turn from
green to red on an up day like today?
yeah the trend momentum indicator that Trap uses is a very fast
length so it's prone to flipping quickly.
Also I've discussed this before, it's possible that it could
even flip back tomorrow to green on the open. The system will
still exit tomorrow on the open because it's an end of day system
that made the decision today. However I may or may not decide
to hold some of my position tomorrow depending on how it opens in
the hedge fund
