pebs - no - that's based on a 34 MA length with a lot of
different filters.
Remember there's 2 versions of the MA. The one that we
generally use that has all the filters in place, those filters
smooth out the indicator and keep it from whipsawing to noise all
the time
There's the version of the indicator that is ONLY the slope of
the 34 MA, which is a special fast type of MA, like a Hull but
special in a way. That one went red, it's been mostly
red.
the MA is best at catching trends, not responding to 75 point
moves on the SPX in one day, common sense
the attached chart I show both versions, the standard one at
top, and the simple version below it with all the filters turned
off
