I'm not sure where steve's archived videos are ... what technical settings are we using on the rsi, bollingers, etc. ?  Are they the same as what you have here on the SPX intraday's like you just put up?

Ok, moving my stop down to the bottom of the red bar, hoping to hit buy target

at 9 ema ... this is exciting and I don't even have a trade on :-)

ES "system" Backtest of Last Four Days

Posted by cmunny on 7th of Jan 2014 at 12:30 pm

Looks to me like a successful short today, successful longs Monday and last Friday (not during normal hours), and a stop out last Thursday.   75% , we're used to 90% + around here, what gives.  Money Mouth  As a support / resistance devotee,  all of these entries are not rated equal.  I'd say the long yesterday and the short today were superior .

    ha nice, thanks for taking

ha nice, thanks for taking the time to actually write that up!

though one thing I would like to add is not to be too concerned with the winning percentage -  you are going to have times for example when you try to take a long and get stopped out, but that's fine, you just keep taking the trades, what I've observed is that in really strong pullbacks you might getting stopped out once or twice, but then you finally catch it and you make back a lot more than what you lost on the last one or two attempts, so you simply keeping at it.  I tried to man a quick video example for you but I am having some computer issues, so I'll do that another time :)

    of course while trying to
