They don't always work (as with any trades), but strangles &
iron condors out 1-2 standard deviations (maybe skewing based on
support/resistance levels or other chartwork), are high probability
earnings plays that can work even with big moves.
here's a 3 min chart of NQ and ES futures with the BPT MA - I'm
using the same 34 length and 8 type setting, however I have the
whipsaw turned off and simply using 0.1 for smoothing
that was one weird trade Matt. I think you will see NQ
above 10.50 today. If it stays above that level, then the
shorts that established their positions around there (52 week high
area) are going to get nervous.

usually risk 5 to make 1 or worse. all you need is one bad one to kill a lot of good ones. I don't like that play
