GGN - Chart Link - GGN is a closed end
gold fund, it pays about a 10 - 11% dividend and what's nice is
that it plays monthly, or 0.14 cents. The management sells
covered calls against their long positions and pay this in a
monthly dividend. Obviously it took a hit in May with the
weakness in gold, however it's near some support.
Tomorrow is the ex dividend date, so if you own it tomorrow you
will get the dividend.
GGN - Chart Link - here's a 60 min view,
some gap areas are noted in yellow.
Chartwise I'm not that in love with it, but it's OK as long as
it can hold the trendline on the daily chart, also keep an eye on
the 60 min chart. I'll probably take a position tomorrow.
you must own it before ex dividend day and can sell it on
exdividend day to collect dividend--how can Matt buy it on the 13th
and get the June dividend?

yes I believe you are correct Lamb:
definition of ex-dividend: The first day of the ex-dividend
period. The ex-dividend date was created to allow all pending
transactions to be completed before the record date. If an investor
does not own the stockbefore the ex-dividend date, he or she will
be ineligible for thedividend payout.
Yes guys you are correct regarding GGN, yesterday was the last
day you had to own it so that you could receive the dividend, sorry
about that, I had a brain fart last night I guess. Anyway no
big deal, the stock pays monthly and honestly I'm not that in love
with the chart yet, I would like it a lot move if it actually made
a slight new low or a better base. We have another month yet
to let the pattern mature out, the next ex-dividend date is July
14th I think, remember it pays monthly, so you just have to own it
before then
