analysis. Obviously they are two separate things. A
good trader with a feel for how a stock moves should be able to out
trade a system in many cases as systems can't always adapt well to
changes
Another way to play the GDX system is the play both: play the
system as is, then play GDX via your subjective tech analysis.
You would do this by playing two separate ETF's, play the
system via GDX and then trade the inverse ETF like DUST for the
subjective analysis, but use only 1/2 position since it's double,
and since it's a short ETF you would short it to go long and vice
versa. This also means that in some cases you may have
opposite positions like a hedge i.e. you may be long via the system
and short via your analysis and vice versa.
