I (and Matt when he can) am going to make a more consistent
effort to be around the SPY Community. If you have any
questions or need any clarity about anything regarding the system
please feel free to post and I will try and address them.
One bulletin I want to announce is we are receiving some
feedback regarding T-mobile and a problem receiving SMS
messages. It seems they will deliver a majority and then drop
for some reason. We have worked with T-mobile and some
members to try and resolve the issue but so far they cannot
diagnose why and we show the message going through. If you
have T-mobile and our able to also have the email directed to your
phone I might suggest that as a safeguard.
Tom, would it be possible to add a status bar like on the GDX
swing system page, it could include the price target for entry on
days when the system is close to entry and a potential direction
indicator.
This might cut down on the questions regarding the potential for
entry exit that some days seem to be the main topic for conjecture
here.
That's a thought but obviously the GDX status bar does not
prognosticate trades and is only updated after a trade is
taken.
If we have a view on a trade with concrete signals we send an
alert. If we have a view on a potential trade but no concrete
signal then we might just post but not send an official alert until
we do get a range. So if someone is checking the website
(Trading Community and Current Trade page) then even without an
official alert you should get what you need. Otherwise once
there is the viable potential for a trade we sent all SPY members
an alert which I think is even more valuable then a bar.
I think that a lot of the questioning of potential trades comes
from anxiety and nervousness. Both of the trade and maybe of
missing the signal. I think the first one or two emails had
some snags but since then I think the process of sending the alert
has been efficient. When Matt launched the system he stated
an alert would be send I think he said that last 10-15 minutes of
the day, maybe he said 30 I forget. We are sending trade
alerts sometimes as early as 11am EST so I really think our alert
procedure is doing well. We can always do better advising
members of the bias and if the system is thinking of a trade but we
also have to catch that scenario etc. We reviewed a widget
that would be in the top of the SPY Community but then started to
think that might be too much and generally I think we have seen
that I try and post a sticky with the current system status to help
that scenario. I am seeing that is not there now so I will
add that - must have been removed at some point.
