question is how best to estimate how much of the 7.2% drop in
the Israel TA100 index today was already priced in based on last
week's action.
One way to make a rough estimate is to compare where the S+P 500
was when the TA100 closed on Thursday 8/4, their last day of
trading before today.
When the TA100 closed at about 973 on Thursday, S+P futures were
at about 1240; from that point the S+P closed Friday at 1197,
or about a 3.5% drop; compared to the 7.2 % drop in the Israeli
index today, well looks like another 3%-4% down is not priced
in....
I am also a little confused, the charts at forespros.com show
TA100 futures trading all day today, whereas the article posted by
Zach says trading was halted. Is that because the futures
kept trading and the cash market was halted?

From CNN: Israel's stock market fell more than 6%, and the Tel Aviv 25 Index ended the trading day down 6.99%.
The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) General Index fell 3.7% on Sunday. And the General Index on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange lost 2.5%.
In Saudi Arabia, the Tadawul All-Share Index gained less than 0.1% after dropping nearly 5.5% Saturday.
1040 will be my guess.
