leverage

I'm trading ES futures with our SPY system. Decided that 5 futures would be 100% so I start off with 2. Had to go to the dentist this afternoon, didn't want to have   such a large position away from computer into the close, so ended up selling our  third entry early (ie sold one ES future). Thank goodness for a little profit on that entry anyway. Leaves me long 3 futures now.

Now here's the thing - it felt such a RELIEF, going to the dentist. LOL I said to myself:  If you'd rather have a root canal - LITERALLY - that's a sure sign that you're too extended with too much leverage!
There's no commandment that says I have to trade 2,1,1,1 eminis. I can just do a partial single-entry, partial multi-entry. Like 2, then 1, then just stop there. :-))

    Susan,

That's hilarious.  You may go down in history as the inventor of the root canal indicator. Just be sure you don't curve fit the tooth's exit rules.

And sorry to have to correct you, but I believe there is such a commandment. Somewhere in Leviticus, if memory serves, near the bit about seeing your father's nakedness.

With the way the futures are behaving, some gallows humor wouldn't be a shoddy idea.
