Greek Confidence Vote is expected sometime around 5:00 pm EST

The market believes this will pass but what happens later remains in question.

Vote of Confidence passed....this led to a quick spike in Euro and SPY but now pulling back. Could be a case of sell the news with the market overbought.

Now what happens? Wait for 1

Wait for 1 more week to vote for Austerity and another drama on Jun 28....but before that Uncle Ben comes tomorrow

Now you can go have some ouzo... Wink

Honestly, it's sickens me to even comment on all this debt mess (including here) as well as the various banks exposed to this stuff.

    Amen, Steve.

We know it's worse than anybody will reveal until it's too late. Then we'll find out who the AIG is this time -- it could still be AIG! -- and who kept dancing until the music stopped.

    greek vote

The 10day avg on the put/call ratios hit extremes last Friday, creating a bear trap. A lot of people were praying for a rally that would allow them to sell gracefully, well here it is  and now they have forgotten why they wanted to sell (possibly creating a new bull trap?)

The VIX gave a buy signal early Monday. That means most latecomers took risk off last week and now coming into quarter's end there is a squeeze on, as funds will appear under-invested if they don't add back. If the Greek vote goes okay, there should be a gap up tomorrow, and traders will look to short that gap. My two cents

    this vote reminds me of

I suppose they figure they can "control" a reaction better?

thats the way the Bilerbergs want it.

After the market should there be a level in after hours trading where we should close out our position to avoid a huge gap down tromorrow?

Looks like this is some kind of setup releasing the news after market. Push market up and short at the close to screw everyone. Of cource they must already know the news to be released right now.
