    the locals (sp?)  are the marketmakers....in the pit of the CBOE

    there are locals and paper.    If the locals are long going into closing.. they usually want to unload.     I was short the /ym at closing and made 14ticks.     I listen to the pit noice while I am trading futures

    How did you determine the locals are long - where is that information coming from? And pit noise? If you're close to the floor forget the questions.

    I listen to the "play by play" buy BEN in the pit over the internet.    He is the guy from traders audio that makes appearences on CNBC.   I get the service free from my broker.
