Matt/Steve -- I've noticed you guys are using VWAP on some of
your charts lately -- I've used it over the years and sometimes
I've thought it was helpful and other times not -- just wondering
on what your thoughts are on it? Do you think it's more helpful in
periods of high volatility?
This article from ZeroHedge last year was right on in predicting
what happened today with the blow up of the XIV. At the time it was
posted here in the trading community. Here is is again...
Yeah, there's been a ton of support every time it goes south of
10,000 -- if we get a daily close down in the 9000s then I
think we could get a quick flush much lower. I haven't been trading
it, just watching -- good spectator sport! But maybe it is kind of
a risk/off trade today...
Bitcoin is down about 12% today, testing the lows of the last
two months. Wondering if it isn't becoming a very good risk on/risk
off indicator for markets...maybe a leading indicator? Or maybe
just in its own world.
An observation and another attempt to post a chart....Noticing
that GDX, if it closed here, would close above the 200 MA and 200
EMA for the first time since breaking below in late October. Right
now being held just below the 50 after opening just above it.
Probably not today, but if GLD can close above the 50, and
with the GDX/GLD ratio finally breaking it's trend line and looking
up, maybe the we could get another run going.
Hey Matt -- The site looks great! Just tried it on my new iPhone
and it works great there too -- love having it sized for the phone!
Going to try to post a chart of AAPL just for a test and see if it
works like it's supposed to -- Yep, works perfectly, much easier!
Love it
That's a long ways to 2575, Just a crazy thought -- might the
SPX act like the IWM and go vertical -- that would be just a
little less than the distance from the bottom of the
consolidation on 8/21 at 2417 to the top of the consolidation --
kind of an inverse H&S, -- sorry I can post a chart right now
-- to the breakout of the highs around 2489. With the kind of
momentum that's going on right now maybe the big surprise might be
that we go from very overbought to very, very, very
overbought...
It seems like this trade has a tight stop and since it's a
breakout system does it buy pullbacks after a first entry? Or does
it take a second entry if the trade continues to push higher?
Thanks.
