Sentiment Trader indicated that the markets do fine during a Govt ShutDown, it's the week after the shutdown, the "Hooray we saved the govt" week that the markets tank a couple pctg points.

I use three different brokerages and IB shows wheter it is hard to borrow and this new notification about restrictions for shorting. It doesn't have an indication for being hard to borrow. That I would have assumed to be similar...yet it must have hit some other limitation before it got hard to borrow.

There was a restriction imposed on LNG today to prevent further shorting. I think it's an SEC restriction (like VHC and SWKS has also). It gets lifted after the close today.

I think Anaconda Steel is in play. Buy lightly on the way down.

oops1e, I've a similar chart, where if 109 doesn't hold, then a test of 107.25 is likely and if that doesn't hold then a test of 103 area is next on the test.

You can see that in the red lines draswn on the chart below.

VLO has been developing a nice cup-with-handle pattern and looks ready to breakout. I'm using longer dated options for this play.

Here's a 30% incline rise to a cup with handle. You can see this in the weekly chart. The cup's been developing for 6-7weeks and has pulled back with a small handle for about a week now. The first target for this is $35.00.
