One other thing in conjunction with volume...the Q's and IWM are
lagging the DJ today. Also transports never made a new high
as the indexes did. When is the DJ and its 30 stocks a
leader?
Posted by asantana on 29th of Oct 2009 at 12:25 pm
I don't agree. This will find resistance at the daily 50
now that it has spent two days below it. IMHO, it would need
to get above that on above average volume in order to convince me
the bulls are back into the financials.
It looks like many are happy the indexes broke through
resistance and look to be moving higher, but....
SMH is so far red on the day and looks to be failing the
daily 50.
DJ-20 is sitting just below the daily 20 but has come on strong
as the indexes have made new highs.
BKX and XLF are both pretty much flat today.
I realize we keep bringing up breadth, but volume today a
tracking pretty close to yesterday to slightly higher. This
does not say much since yesterday's volume was PATHETIC. If
you compare the selling volume of the move down to the buying
volume we are getting, should we be concerned?

A couple of years ago, Disney sold all of its retail stores to,

Matt,
Would you really be looking to place long trades at this
point in the market? One could argue the lack of volume today
is based on Yom Kippur but last year's volume on the IWM was
1474262 and in 2007 it was 870572.

Matt,
Thank you for the recap. Some feedback...I do not
believe it is too long. I find then to be very informative
and for the most part they usually stay under 30minutes which is
great. I appreciate all the guidance you provide.

AAPL short???

Thinking of a short on AAPL here with an initial tgt of the daily 20 at 178. This coincides to the 9.15-9.16 gap.
Any thoughts?
