Not quite right. EOD systems do not require that you enter the
first minute of the trading day. You enter the trade when there is
a set up i.e a MA crossover.
EOD mech system: enter trade when the relevant MAs cross, always
at the close of the candle of the cross. Exit trade end of day
(last minute of normal trading hours). If the MAs cross again
before the EOD you reverse the trade. All trades are exited MOC.
You then wait for the next set up which is the next MA crossover
another trading day. Note that this does not occur every day.
If the MAs crossover the first candle of the trading day you
enter at the close of the first candle. Hope that helps.
SRS swing trade system uses the 6min chart w/15 and 84 SMA
crossovers. Trades are held till next crossover or till profit
target of 24% is acheived. No stop loss.
Well, if you are playing the 15 min exit EOD systems, the trade
is taken at the close of the candle where the crossover occurs. So,
any crossover that occurs during the last 15 min is invalid.
The update was pretty clear re: mech.systems. No second guessing
because the results come from taking every trade. Also, w/ volatile
ETFs like SRS you can get rips even the last 15min, just as you can
get your profits wiped out in the same time. Simply put: if you
decide to play the systems do not try to out guess them.
15 min SRS swing system uses 9/39 EMAs. 6 min SKF swing systems
uses 15/84 SMAs. Please note that both have profit targets and the
SRS system has a stop loss.
RP, your reasoning is sound and your cojones in place. Nice pic
of you, by the way in Cabo, strangely enough you are exactly like I
imagined. I am also convinced of lower prices before this wave 5
ends and my way of playing this has been through FAZ calls which I
have been holding steadfastly, although they are in a definitely a
sleep- through-the-night quantity. I am wondering, though, do you
plan to hold through 4 of (5) which could take us back up to 760 or
will you just hedge around your positions? TIA
Matt, I presume that you are not talking about minor wave 4
having completed but {4} of 3 of (5)? Which would mean that we are
still looking for a {5} of 3 of (5) bottom (anywhere between
660-680) then a minor 4 of (5) rally possibly to 760 then a 5 of
(5) bottom who knows where.
I'm asking because it seems that the general consensus is that a
large major wave 4 rally is at the point of materializing, but if
we are yet to complete 3 of (5) that could conceivably quite a ways
off and we could see this wave (5) end with much lower prices than
most expect (except RP).

I belive that the EMAs for SSO are 16/39. SRS uses 9/39 EMAs. Of course if I'm wrong please correct me.
