Matt -- Any SPY/ES System trades?  You had mentioned a possible short earlier.

Matt ---  Here you show the "Breakout" did trigger, but did so on 7/13 (entry date) (....ES Systems).  This aligns with the Bear Long date???  Did we have a new "Breakout" trade today 7/21???

Matt ---  Is your ES System "STRAP" the same as you have labeled "HI MiD LO"?

Japan's Central Bank continues to use QE to hold their interest rates constant; thus, the destruction of their currency.  All their Central Bank would have to do is to say they are tightening, or say they are changing policy to not hold interest rates constant, and the Yen would take off like a rocket.  Unfortunately, they have had this policy for a decade or more.......  With the rest of the world tightening, they are the odd man out.  However, certainly worth putting on your trade setup.  As you said, "No trigger, no trade".

"MES" is the micro ES Futures Matt uses in the SPY System.  Be sure to select "Futures" in the drop-down list, and be sure to take a contract a few months out; i.e., Sept.  I got holding a June contract, and they closed it first thing in the morning, not EOD.

Great call, as usual.  Frankly, I don't know if you are following the market, or the market is following you! :)

Really nice gains on the SPY trade.  Like others, I couldn't let those profits go by, so closed out both options.  Will buy back in if we get a nice pullback, then exit per system exit.

Thanks for the update on the System Trades.  Thought we may have a chance for a good rally today, given OPEX, with the imbalance of in-the-money puts and calls.  Just more chop....

Live and Learn......  I noticed my MES future trades was frozen this morning.  Called Interactive Brokers.  Since I had the contract expiring today, they freeze the trades first thing in the morning and close all positions at that price.  They will release the margin in the next hour or so, so I can use that to buy the next contract in line, although the old contract won't disappear from my account until tomorrow.  One would normally assume you had to the end of the day on expiration day to roll forward.......  Maybe other brokers handle it differently.

When I looked at the futures, first thing this morning, that was the first thing that popped into my head!

Believe me....I am tempted to do just that; but, with my luck, that would be the one time it comes up losing.  Better, for me, to just be slow and steady.  Paying off so far this year.  I am beginning to like these Bear Markets; if for no other reason, we get more SPY System trades!
