Haha. Twitter was full of this stuff all day today in the lead up.

META reported very strong demand

META reported very strong demand from China based advertisers. Very interesting. They can't use facebook, but they advertise on the global version anyway.  I guess it makes sense I just didn't see it as a big revenue stream.

Utilities - weird. What's the difference between NEE and NEP? I always buy NEE, but saw NEP at the top of the list with the same company name. Is it like GOOG and GOOGL?

Agree.  This would have simply gotten a button press on the like from me.

A thumbs up emoji would be another alternative.

Me too. I just allocated to it for the 1st time in a long time. Missed the generational bottom after spotting it but then waiting for a pullback that never showed up.  Hoping for additional weakness to add. The fundamentals are pretty epic. Nice report.

This is like a GOOG or MSFT for me. Core holding potential.  Small core allocation that I can trade around with the STS systems and other triggers.

SPX - I was very surprised that they didn't come after the zero DTE degens at some point in the after hours and blow them out of the water.  Nothing has really escalated except during RTH.  If this ramps down overnight, that could change....lots of 0 DTE peeps gonna wake up with margin calls or just empty accounts if there's a major move outside of trading hours.  Their was very little fear going into the close, but we are still in a negative gamma environment.

This could be an EPIC reversal - they beat and the initial reaction is down 10% ish.

This market is actually predictable - TSLA went ballistic on horrible earnings and META got crushed (so far) on pretty great numbers.  They're punishing logic, as usual (when the market is in this mode, which happens periodically). Thank God the market beat the urge to be logical going into earnings out of me years ago.  It's important to know the market mood.

META - out of all

Posted by DigiNomad on 24th of Apr 2024 at 03:36 pm

META - out of all the revenue growth projections scheduled to be updated this week and next, META blows them all out of the water.  The bull parade should be in full effect after the close - I think they'll crush. But at some point will the market be ok with only META, MSFT and GOOG to fawn over? We'll see.  NVDA obviously has to watch out...AAPL just announced they are going after their lunch and you know all the other mega techs have the exact same plans. No one ever keeps that big of an edge for very long.

EPS grew 76% over the last year and is expected to grow 26% annually for the next 5 years.  No idea how they managed 76%. Must be very very well positioned under the Government trough. They are mainlining Gov cheese...just not exactly sure how (I did sign some Fed contracts with them back in the day, but not huge ones...but I'm sure they exist).

These chart links with zone are SUPER helpful. Thanks!

I'm a firm believer that there is and always has been a US Gov PPT (plunge protection team).  I think it's likely that one is funded under the black budget of the CIA and the FED (which isn't and can't be audited) probably also has a team working in that capacity. And I think both are relatively active on regular basis.  For example, there is a lot of on chain evidence of Sovereign bitcoin accumulation (cause why wouldn't they?).  As far as the equity market goes, the Fed flat out admitted they were buying some ETF's in the last crisis and we know they do plenty without telling us upfront. The CIA having an active PPT just makes sense. Again, why wouldn't they?  Definitely a conspiracy theory, but not at all far fetched. They've mostly admitted to it (except the CIA part).

24 hour trading trending in

24 hour trading trending in the news.  Out for comment at the moment. One thing I bet they won't consider (my fingers are crossed) is how many financial professionals will leave the USA more permanently instead of doing what I have been planning which is 5 months in 7 months out per year.  Potentially a big tax hit at multiple levels, so maybe they will consider it...

This look is very rare...even on this timeframe.  Looks like a VERY large algo kicked in with enough backing behind it to move the entire market... potentially a sovereign? We'll never know. Just guessing.

We just went from -1.5 std dev below session VWAP to +1 std dev above VWAP in 60 minutes. Wow.

Bond Auction - market didn't

Bond Auction - market didn't seem to hate it, but Althea seems to disagree.  That said, I'm thinking the equity market, which is mostly shrugging off a 10YY that's 1.2% higher on the day.  Bond market and Althea on the same sheet of music :)

SPX - standard chart vs Oanda (all data) are wildly different at the moment.  The standard SPX completely omits last week's flash crash.

*All white lines are auto anchored VWAPS - weekly, monthly and YTD. Yellow is 5 day SMA (not 5 period SMA).
