hi molson22, correct, GDX should've stopped out as the HP KISS
STS was at 49.84 and GDX now at 48.70. there will be a Flat
alert when the GDX 130 min candle closes which should be soon.
the Flat alert however is just informational as you should
always have an STS stop in place and that would have exited the
trade. I will also send you an email directly.
I texted James/Matt this morning about this, we're using ticket
2766 to track it- there's definitely something wrong when I pull up
the chart for the HP KISS QQQ Daily. I will send you an email
jonesy85 separately also.
for a 130 min system, it comes 10 minutes plus after the 130 min
candle closes. the Flat alerts are informational only as one
should always have an STS stop in place since going Long and per
any subsequent alerts for adjusting the STS stops.
here's more info:
There are 3 types of KISS signals:
1) Daily
2) Weekly
3) High Performance HP KISS
a) Daily - signals are generated via e-mail at the end of the
day; if the instrument is in a trend, then no alert is issued;
alerts are only issued with buys or sells. Upon receiving a
Daily alert (to Go Long, Flat or change STS) one would act upon it
during the market Open on the following day.
b) Weekly - signals are generated weekly on Friday end of the
day; if the instrument is in a trend, then no alert is issued;
alerts are only issued with buys or sells. Upon receiving a
Weekly alert (to Go Long, Flat or change STS) one would act upon it
during the market Open on the following week.
c) High Performance - signals are sent via SMS alerts because
the signals come intraday. This is the most active set of
systems out of the systems we are discussing here, but the number
of alerts are still reasonable. Upon receiving an alert to Go
Long, one would act upon it immediately. So one would execute
an order to Buy and then put in the initial STS. For
subsequent alerts with STS changes, one would also act on them
immediately by modifying your existing order. The idea is to
always have an order in place to be ready to exit the trade if the
price hits the STS. For Flat alerts, these are informational
in nature, as one would already have had the STS in place
beforehand and one would exited already if the STS price was hit,
before receiving the Flat alert.
To all our members: if you are using an AOL or Yahoo email,
please DO NOT contact our support via the Contact page on the
website (the messages go into limbo and I have to fish them out
once a week internally). PLEASE EMAIL
SUPPORT@BREAKPOINTTRADES.COM. orlandoaoc@yahoo.com - I
mentioned to you in February in a past email NOT to use the Contact
page; sorry your message got stuck again (we are addressing the
reason why these messages get stuck with our IT). But as of
this morning, we are communicating directly with each other, which
is good. Thank you for your patience.
najor, I've gone ahead and created a ticket for this and emailed
you. for website bugs, enhancement requests, etc. go ahead
and email the support@breakpointtrades.com so we can track it with
a ticket number. thanks.
oreo, Matt updated the table over the weekend (I guess the first
update didn't save) and now it reflects Trend/Pullback closures;
also I sent you an email. thank you for your patience.
STS update- hi mastermind, I've alerted Matt and James already;
normally Matt runs it and I have access to run it also but the
process is not working for me (maybe a permissions issue), so I've
messaged Matt already
vasiboy, I sent you an email just now also with a help
desk ticket number. But the short answer is that stops
on KISS HP CAN and DO in fact go down at times (versus the previous
STS stop) because they are based on volatility.
re-testing of several systems by Matt have reported better stats
(increases in profit factors); process is still ongoing. Matt
may share more soon in the Announcements section of the HP
KISS.
While still in its early stages, demand for PGMs has been
increasingly linked to the
energy transition process. One key area is
clean hydrogen production, achieved through either
electrolysis or converting methane from fossil fuels with carbon
capture.
Aviation, which currently accounts for 3% of
global energy consumption,
is another sector driving new demand for PGMs. As
the industry pursues net zero, various technologies will rely on
PGMs.
In a nutshell, there will
still be strong demand for PGMs even if the internal
combustion engine ceased to exist.
hello - I'm going to email you separately and log a ticket for
this so we can investigate further. you are correct in saying
that the Text alert to go Flat today shouldn't have said 89.80, as
the lowest price of the day was around 91.36. And no to
answer your question, if the price gaps below the STS price, it
shouldn't be using the STS stop price. For example, NVDA
gapped down today and the NVDA 30 STS was 134.315 but the trade
table rightfully shows an exit price of 124.87 which is about where
it opened today. And yes, UPRO 78 and a number of other HP
KISS systems had a stop out and re-entry on the same day but the
issue with that was that texts were sent out indicating it was
Flat, but no text was sent indicating a new Long when it
re-entered. James deployed a fix and should be fixed now.
Hi erikwil, there are systems amongst the Reversion to Mean
systems that do shorts, you can read about them in the above link
(QE Short, Exhaustion Short #1, etc.). As far as inverse
ETFs, those apply to the KISS Systems (a different group of
systems), and that is something that is in progress. For
further clarification, send me an email at
support@breakpointtrades.com and I can expand on the topic.
best regards, Rik
Hi chad99, QQQ 78 now shows Flat in the HP KISS STS table; what
happens is that the 78 min candle needs to close first and then
about 10-15 min after candle close, it shows Flat in the table.
best bet is to already have a STS in place and then use the
Flat SMS text to confirm the stop out, along with table as the
final confirmation. any issues like this in the future you
can email support@breakpointtrades.com and we can track it with a
help desk ticket. best regards, Rik

Clean hydrogen production and Aviation fuel are the big uses for Platinum in the future.
