I held onto my gold position for too long, thinking it would
recover. Having gone back and looked at the charts from September
to November of last year and tried a bunch of different indicators,
I think the only one that really would have called it was the Aroon
oscillator. I know everybody trades differently and my trading has
been very chart driven. So I'm asking for your advice and input. Do
any of you have indicators that you find are reliable over and over
again? MACD? RSI? Stochastics? or some others? thank you so much.
I'm not a trading newbie by any means but I'm constantly looking to
improve my skills.
I'm curious whether people tend to rely more on the signal line
crosses, on center line crossovers, or on positive and negative
divergences (or on all three?) when trading MACD. I'm trying to
understand the relationship between these different signals.
there's a lot of talent on this board and I'm really just looking
for a sense of how people tend to read these signals. Thank
you!
What resources do you use to figure out whether volume is
coming into a stock on your watch list? I've used free stock charts
for a while but the site is pretty annoying and I'm wondering if
there's a better way? thanks so much for your help--
on the bpt newsletter, Steve puts a downside target on the .spx
of 1030 or thereabouts. That's still a ways away from where we are
now. I'm curious whether people are planning to just hold on or
sell into a bounce or...?

Dear Board,

Dear fellow traders
What resources do you use to figure out whether volume is coming into a stock on your watch list? I've used free stock charts for a while but the site is pretty annoying and I'm wondering if there's a better way? thanks so much for your help--

are your settings on this chart proprietary? No worries if they are--not trying to poach. Thanks!
what are you all planning to do going forward?

I forced myself to use the system to override my other trading signals

As a consequence I didn't go short. The one time I try to be unemotional and to trade the system--and bam.
heh.
