I was wondering if the Republicans take the Senate today in the
elections we would have a pretty good up day tomorrow. OR because
we have already seen a good up move the last couple of weeks maybe
tomorrow will be down because of "buy the rumor sell the news."
What do you think?
Per last nights newsletter from Steve I gathered that a pop of
20 S&P points would be a good entry point to see the market go
lower. With the big pop now because of the FOMC minutes does
that theory still hold? In other words a good time to short
now?
It's probably been covered but then I've missed it. There is a
lot of excitement about the new section for BPT MA Deluxe and I
could get even more excited if I knew what say over the last five
or ten years we could expect for average gains.
Although this looks good and Matt has been working his tail off,
I also got excited about several past systems that just didn't work
out. But this system looks like it should perform in a more
consistent manner - am I thinking right Matt?
One of the best in the business, Peter Grandich, says if we get
two closes in a row in gold over $1280 (and that happened today!)
we would see $1350 to $1400 in short order. Now with that
said we will probably see gold fall twenty bucks tomorrow.
One nice thing about heaven will be that prices will
always go up -ha.
I was thinking a Romney win would
create a big bump on Wednesday but then I heard Peter Grandich say
that the market would go down on Wednesday and for a few days
because Romney would choose a Fed chairman who would cut back on
the QE's. Also gold for the short term for the same reasons would
go down. I still think new blood in the White House would be fuel
for optimism and a strong short term rally starting on Wednesday.
What do you say? If Grandich is right wouldn't at least something
like the coal stocks rally strong?
I have been buying gold and silver for many years and the most
honest, most cheapest (amount over spot) is National Numismatic
Assoc. Tom Cloud 1-800-247-2812. Short notice but until noon
Eastern today he is selling Comex 100 oz. bars for $1.50 over
spot.
I'm trying to keep these GDX systems straight. Last Fri.
GDX was down $1.05. Shouldn't the Renko chart with a 63 cent
box size have showed a red box. And now today it was down
enough to make a second red box but no red boxes have showed
up. What am I missing?
Also Matt stated on Jan. 31st that he might stop sending out
emails when the 60 min chart gives a buy or sell signal yet that
system is doing about 27% better results than the daily
system. Why drop that system? Just one system would be
best to follow but I think right now we are looking at which system
is going to be the best - is that right?
I did a search but didn't find any hard and fast rules for
following the GDX Renko system. Are there a set of
rules? If not would selling at a 13.5% profit be a rule or on
this one just follow the PSAR squares at the end of the day for
signals. That brings up a question by what is meant by the
end of the day. Could that mean say 15 minutes before the
close we could go with the current PSAR square or wait until the
market closes and then buy or sell in the after market if the
direction changes. With this system are we always in a buy or
sell mode and never in cash?

Yes, I got caught in that too. I looked at the current status but not the chart and missed that it went red.
Matt, E-mail notify on BPT MA Deluxe

BPT MA is "popular". I missed why there is no e-mail notification when this changes - that would sure be helpful. Thank you.
Bad GDP numbers and market goes up?

I would have thought with these bad GDP numbers the market would have sold off?
Tomorrow & tomorrow's open

From history after a big sell-off like today what might the open look like tomorrow and then the day in general tomorrow. Normally up or down?

Gap up or gap down? That would be very helpful.

Buy gold or silver here?

Is this an area to take a position in gold or silver?
One poster thought about buying GDX - anyone else thinking about it?
