I sold the last of my ANPI today, so you can be reasonably assured it's heading up from here...

dylan, thanks for the heads-up on CRGN. It looks like a good set-up, and I picked some up after the earlier mention today.

Thanks for the chart. Today

A THOUGHT ON GOLD

Thanks for the chart. Today was an interesting day for the miners. The POG was up nicely, but many of my small miners closed at or near their lows for the day. Maybe profit-taking in anticipation of a pullback as your chart suggests?

SPPI and INSM

SPPI and INSM are two small biotechs with nice setups evolving.

SPPI was added to the Morgan Joseph recommended list this morning. They said recent DNA and VNDA approvals may bode well for SPPI candidate awaiting approval. Also they think SPPI's earnings will be good.

PWRD

With apolgies for not knowing how to post a chart, check out the inverted H&S (and cup and handle) on PWRD. Nice looking potential.

Nice call on STEC.

Nice call on STEC.

WTW

Posted by jhsimon on 28th of Apr 2009 at 12:00 am

I can't post a chart, but WTW showing a nice breakout. Maybe worth a look. Other comments welcome.

Unfortunately, I couldn't download my Fido trades to TurboTax, because Turbotax couldn't handle several thousand trades. I worked with both the Fido and Turbotax technical people last month to find a solution, to no avail. I'm hoping they will be able make some changes so next year to improve their capabilities for really active traders. Or better yet, I should trade less!

I quit Tradestation several years ago because of the tax/accounting nightmare. Gainskeeper was way too unwieldy where I was/am doing several thousand trades a year. I switched to Fidelity -- they do it all for you, and I only pay $8 a trade. Maybe others will have more up-to-date input on how to deal with TS.

The WSJ publishes data each

Posted by jhsimon on 15th of Apr 2009 at 09:53 pm

The WSJ publishes data each day on selling on strength vs. buying on weakness. Here's a link: http://online.wsj.com/mdc/public/page/2_3022-mflppg-moneyflow.html?mod=topnav_2_3000

Here's my question. If the data indicates a net outflow on the SPY today (-$254 million), does that automatically translate into the "smart money" bailing? Would it be important to know what the data was for the final 20 minutes, when the big spike occurred? Any comments on how to interpret this data?

Thanks for mentioning HOV. Nice
