The Fed is pretty much autonomous and doesn't really have to
answer to Congress, unfortunately. It's moments like this that
inspire the "audit the Fed" folks like Ron Paul. As time goes on,
the views of Paul & Co. are being vindicated.
It'll be interesting to watch the action in precious metals. As
was stated above the only way to fight the Fed as an individual is
to hitch a ride on the pm's.
Agreed. I suspect this deal ran right up to the edge of the
abyss, given the impending Fed/ECB meetings as you noted. Is it too
little,too late? We won't know 'til after the fact,of course, but
I'm thinking this whole Euro debt drama ain't over yet. For now
though, the backs of the shorts have clearly been broken ...

Yep, I am. I've been using his calls successfully as an easy way
to run a couple of 401(k) accts. for my GF and a buddy of mine.
Seems to be a nice long - term way to run money with some
reasonable stop-loss points.

You know something I don't? Haven't heard about GDX breaking up.
I have a couple of DUST positions and thinking I'll stick to GDX in
the future because of the much better volume...
