Walt, I just wanted to thank you for this thorough post.  Really informative and gives more perspective on something that looks like a complete disaster to an outsider.

Its actually not as bad as the clickbait headline makes it.  It really puts things back to where they should be (you are taxed on your total income regardless of where/how you earned it).  They previously had limitations on losses that would offset gains and more recently they removed the ability to offset those losses against previous gains.  It was pretty crappy how it played out.  Im not a cpa, but that was my experience with taxes among different business entities I own.

Matt - I love your systems and appreciate all the work you have done to make them better.  FWIW I personally like the idea of knowing what each system is doing along with the general stats for that system then I can make the decision of how much to add, buy, sell etc. For example you may have one system long with another short. In that scenario some people may want to just go flat and wait for better clarity.  Anyways, thanks again for all that you do!

For all....The market is moving in extremes in both directions.  It never feels good to buy when the vix is over 35, so you just need to reduce position sizes. The odds of the market crashing here are pretty low.  Averaging in on a daily basis starting here is pretty low risk if you can endure near term pain.  Just buy 20% of your overall position each time the market closes at a lower low.  The odds of the market at least not going higher than where you are buying now on a solid bounce are very low.  politicians will print trillions to keep things from getting out of control.

Matt how does BGS look to you for the same reason (dividend play). Their yield is 12% as of todays closing price.
