Just sharing my observation about its historical behavior for
the last two years. Doesn't mean it will do that tomorrow. I'm just
looking at the "pop" days. Going back two years on a daily I see
seven very large pops. Today's is by far the largest. Just look at
the next day after each pop. Mind you - I won't short this. Way too
risky for me. But the history shows a significant pullback the day
after a huge pop.
Still in freefall but I've had my eye on it. Looking for gap
fill and maybe even a test of the 200 EMA (green). May not get it
but I'm trying to be patient (ha).
Anyone have a list of bear ETFs for crypto? I've seen several
articles in the last 6 months about trying to get approval for
them. Haven't seen any yet though.
Thankfully (total sarcasm), my TOS platform has decided to
"protect" me by not allowing shorts on crypto - at least the few I
tried. I get to be a spectator. Go get 'em!
With market caps larger than GS we can certainly add WFC and MS
to this list. MS is flat breaking down. WFC is coming up on a
trendline test from June, 2022, and is testing the 200 SMA
today.
Fertilizer - I've seen potash/fertilizer posts in the room the
past several days. I knew Ukraine had something to do with it.
Perhaps someone posted an article I didn't see because I'm in and
out all day for work. Finally did a few searches and found that
between Ukraine, Russia, China and Belarus, they produce 2/3 the
global supply of the raw materials for fertilizer. I'm sure we can
all figure out the potential impact on global food supplies if
those materials were suddenly unavailable.
Thanks, Steve. I asked about these yesterday - ahead of my
planned actions. Lots of bad news out there that can impact them.
For JPM, e.g., I was looking for support in the 130 area at the gap
fill. Getting close. We'll see how it reacts. BAC ~40. GS is
testing the Jan low now. Nothing yet to convince me that any
big banks are a buy.
Matt or Steve, I see the banks really under pressure lately.
Yet, I've been waiting for a chance to add one to my portfolio. I'm
looking at this weekly of JPM. I've got three daily gaps indicated
on the chart. I'm thinking of nibbling, but I usually like
confirmation of a bounce beforehand. You have any thoughts about
the beaten-down banks? Also looking at BAC, GS, and WFC, each of
which has slightly higher relative strength than JPM at the moment,
but they're all pretty close.

When I look at MXC daily history I'd be lining up a short on these pop days. Seems to open a lot lower the next day. Dangerous game though.

CORN - not saying it's a BUY here. Just saying it had a nice pullback today. Same for WEAT though it's still very extended.
