I am long both UEC and the etf URA. URA has moved above its 50
SMA today as well. I see the uranium stocks much like Matt sees the
rare earth stocks. I bought CCJ after the meltdown in Japan, but
was too early and got stopped out. I have been accumulating UEC and
URA over the past several weeks. These are not trades for me, but I
am certainly heartened by being profitable and seeing their charts
getting better looking.
Here is a chart that forecasts Fed Funds rate for the next
several years. It is from the Fed itself. Solid blue line is
"market expectation." Dotted blue line is the Fed's own forecast.
If this rate is going to rise that much so are longer term rates.
We shall see. I am long the TBT for the long haul.
Ditch, getting gifts of that much wine my seem strange to you
but it is just what happens in Mike's district, almost all of which
is "wine country". He was born and raised here in Napa County, were
he still lives.
I have known Mike for many years. I campaigned for him when he
first ran for the state assembly here in California. He is a great
guy and has represented this district very well. My wife and I have
been to many of his fund raisers, and like most other people here
we wouldn't think of showing up without a couple of bottles of
wine. That is just what we do here.
Matt, you have been advising to wait for a major pullback in
uranium shares to buy for the long haul. Are we there yet as far as
you are concerned? i am long CCJ and and UEC and very profitable on
both. Will add at the appropriate time. Thanks, Paul Krsek
Matt and Steve have been correctly focused on the rising UUP,
which represents the rising U.S. dollar index. On the short side
everyone has been focused on the Euro, but the Yen is now breaking
down too. As a result the YCS (proshares ultra short yen) is
breaking out to the upside.

Everyone Hates the $USD

Here is an interesting weekly chart of the U.S. Dollar Index. With everyone leaning so hard against it could it bounce in here?
Could history repeat?

Could this happen? Wouldn't want to stand in the way, given current market action.
