I wonder if you backtested this; anytime SKF deviates 5% from
the 86 ema on a 15min chart, go long below and short above and
get out at the next signal. The last 3 days, using rough
numbers:
Thurs long @156 covered friday at gap open 182 +26pts
Fri short gap open at 182 cover at 147
today +35 pts
I sniff a reversal here going into the weekend. some have nice
profits from this morning closing them out to hit the bid. systems
all upside down. should have bought the open like my instincts were
telling me.
Matt, is it possible to backtest the systems to take out days
that there is a gap open. in other words sit out or turn off the
systems the day that there is a gap open? Maybe we'd avoid many
painful whipsaw days like sso yesterday and sso, srs today.

Matt/Dodger, would you intiate a short after a gap open on your triangle break? I don't want to short the open, then get cut.

Verizon seems to have found support around its 50 day today and is off on a downgrade. What do you think as a setup?
