I am into GDX at about $42. Its just a trade for me. I want to
set a trailing stop to protect profits. Any thoughts on a fairly
tight reasonable stop? I'm actually thinking about dumping it here
and looking to reenter on a pull back. Not sure.

Any idea why solar stocks have been so weak as of late. I am
tracking the KWT Solar ETF. Its retraced about 62% of it's 09
March to June gains. I am actually looking for a good point to go
long KWT.

Matt,
I am not currently short the S&P 500 via SH. Do you have a
trigger in mind that would cause you to add to your SH position? I
see some support around $54 over the last couple of weeks and am
considering adding some SH when it is near $54.

I am also short the 20 Year via TBT. Long term I see rates
continuing to rise but not in a straight line, especially with the
Fed targeting and the Treasury needing low rates for ever. I am
currently in TBT at an average cost of about $45. If it tests its
July highs of about $54-55 I will probably sell (or set a pretty
tight stop) and look to reposition on a pullback.
One additional interest rate play I am looking at is to short
high yield bonds. I think junk bonds (JNK) are priced for zero
risk. I don't believe it. I am looking at shorting high risk bonds
via Rydex Inverse High Yield (RYIYX). Anyone looking into this?

Matt, I know you had an email the other day on all the daily
opening gaps. I have never noticed anything like this before, but I
don't follow the market as closely as you. Is this pretty unusual
from your perspective also.

Matt,
I really appreciate the dynamic links you provied as I can see
the details on how you created each chart. In this case I had never
used the area view with a ratio. Of course the associated market
commentary and the fact that I can keep a shortcut to the link is
terrific. Thanks!

I am having a similar problem with stockcharts. As far as I can
tell i am getting times and prices from the 9/21 close even though
I am looking for intraday prices.
TSTR is on the watch list and had a pretty good move today,
especially considering the opening sell off. Did anyone initiate a
position today? If so, what was your entry level? Will you stay
long over the weekend? What's your sell target? If you didn't enter
a position - why? I just joined the site and am interested in how
folks are trading off the watch list. I've done ok on my own in the
past but I am hoping to get much better and would like to learn how
to leverage the recs on the watch list.
