I'm liking the breakout fakeout on CME and watching for a similar fakeout to the downside before a proper reversal upwards.

Hi everyone, I need to make a decision as to what I am going to use for intraday charting. I am using TOS at the moment but have been experiencing some buggy behavior of late and this has motivated me to find something more reliable.

I will continue to use TOS for some of its features and big picture Futures charting.

I need something straightforward and reliable with real-time data for charting ETFs and stocks during regular US trading hours.

I am considering Stockcharts with real-time data, TC2000 with real-time data, Ninjatrader with Kinetick real-time date.

Any comments/recommendations about the above platforms would be appreciated.

For those of you who use Ninjatrader on a regular basis, would you recommend it as a main charting platform?

I am using TOS at the moment and am not all that happy with the performance. IB is my broker. I would consider Tradestation but being in Canada it would be difficult to use them as a broker and so I would likely have to pay full price. Ninjatrader is more economical.

Any major cons for Ninjatrader? Thanks.

Spy is liquid after hours. Maybe just double up the trade on that.

Gotcha. Yes day trading contango doesn't matter. I like to swing long XIV after a big volatility event when things calm down and VIX in contango.

Do you know if the VIX is in contango or backwardation? That is an important thing to consider when going short volatility (long XIV in this case). Best to long XIV only when VIX is in contango.

Missed this due to clunky TOS mobile (at work). Think tonight I'm going to sign up for TC2000 with real time data. Anyone here use TC2000? I've heard great things about its alert features.

Any thoughts on whether GDX makes one more high on the hourly? I am looking for one more trip up for short setup.
