I missed the first entry breaking out of the wedge so I entered
the break of the neckline with a stop at the right shoulder.
It went up, I waited for retest of the neckline, and instead
of waiting for confirmation of the bounce I added to my position
when it hit with a tight stop just below. Needless to say I was
stopped out of both positions, thankfully I'm trading a very small
position so this was cheap learning experience.
Curious how you played this. Did you buy at the first break of
the neckline and were then looking to add to your position on a
reversal of the back test?
If you don't mind could you break this down, I just did a little
refresher reading on futures but I can't figure out how you arrived
at the 80% return.
Ok, I'm getting 393,000 for both data sources now and vol% of
670, must've been a timing/refresh cause for the difference between
the two feeds in my case.
Ok, this is interesting, 271,489 is the average volume when
using td ameritrade as the data feed, when I switch it to
interactive brokers the average volume is 393,000 and the volume %
is 670%.
Does this apply if it's purchased through BPT? Am I reading this
right in the BPT store? If you purchase Multicharts from BPT the M3
indicators are all included?
Thanks for the tip. I don't think I was specific enough, I meant
just the trades these daily swing systems generated that Matt made
reference to (pasted below). Maybe it's as easy as searching for
"SPY system" and that would be enough to get directly to the trade
that system generated if there was one that day, at least until the
systems are officially launched. Not trying to over complicate or
add more work for you guys you do plenty enough already, just
trying to get to the info a little more efficiently.
"As I said, once the daily swing systems give a buy (as you know
we have them for SPY, SSO, QLD, GDX), even if these are not
officially launched, I will give you the trade, so don't worry
about that."
It would be nice to have a unique search term so when logging in
to check for trades at the end of the day we could go directly to
the trade posts instead of having to weed through the blog
entries.

That's because the avg volume in quote tracker is 271,489, I don't see anywhere that the number of days used for the average can be modified.
